After hours methodical research and observation and careful analysis of the results, I have determined that the problem originates with the skirt.

In case you were wondering, it was a come from behind victory for me. And my opponent was interrupted by a telephone call (and also was not actually competing).
I was drunk and racing to finish and did not get to blog this last night:
"You should think out loud. Then maybe one day your brain won't explode, and I think you'd like that. Not making a mess ... not getting any brain on your hair."
"Do you mean that you want me to go on one of those insane stream-of-consciousness monologues, like you do, where you completely refuse to filter out things that don't make sense, or are completely unrelated, or are deeply, deeply wrong--"
When we inquire about conditions on your benighted home planet, we are just being polite. If you lived anywhere civilized, you would live here. Some call us snobs, but we prefer to think of ourselves as discriminating.

"Summer nights, you know, when it's warm but it's kind of cool so it's like there's no temperature at all? That's what I like."
"And I decided to share my thoughts with you. That's communication."
"That's babbling, actually."
"Nooooo, you think it's babbling, because you think thoughts are for thinking."
"Of course. Thoughts are not for thinking. My God, your insight is blinding."
"I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part. "

All the pencils are missing from my desk. It is likely that they are in my hair. I do not want to remove any of them as I believe that the pencils are all that is keeping me together today.
I just received word from the North - things appear to be better there except for the thing about the packing peanut -is that a good thing? Am I missing something?
Sad day for Martha:
"I am alone now with my pets," a woman named Ruth Ritter wrote to the judge in careful script. "Just seeing Martha doing her crafts, cooking, gardening, was a great comfort to me."
There have already been 2 emergencies and my hair is up in pencils.
It's going to be an unbearable day.

Before you criticize comeone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, you'll be a mile from them, and you'll have their shoes.

"It is so late. I've got to go to sleep. If I don't get my 45 minutes I can't function."
"Since when do you function?"

"Actually, I never swear in real life. Bad language is just bad manners, it's a symptom of a bankrupt mind."

"You reminded me, but only briefly, of another traveler I knew, who wanted to get there, wherever there happened to be, and as a result missed what was all around him at the time."
BP pg. 176
"How many of us ever reach such a clear crossroad? How many shrink from the bold path when they come to it? A hundred will pass before one takes the turn.
I had to follow it. To shy away would have been a betrayal of my life."

It just occured to me - I left 5 years ago today and I really haven't gone anywhere. Perhaps I should have stayed.
I wish I stayed.
"This obsession with punctuation marks signals, I think, a disturbing fixation on minutiae that can lead only to eventual madness and a solitary death surrounded by cats and a thousand folded pairs of socks."
Let us recap:
Celebrate America, watch CSPAN and drink immense cocktails. I think there was a third thing too... I can never remember.
"... and just for your information, I am as much fun as I've ever been. I'm a whirlwind of amusement."
"He played that one I like though! The Glen Miller one. The dah-nah-nah dah! dah! dah! dah! da dunnah dunnah, doodle oodle doodley doo, doo doo doo! dah nahnuh doodle oodle doo doodle oodle doo, doot doodle oodle doo doodle oodle doo, and then the same three notes over and over. "
Nothing is more patriotic than watching CSPAN on the Fourth of July.
What ever will we do without the sockless wonder to host the Fourth of Juy celebration???
