THIS IS NOT A SLUMBER PARTY!

"Old camp song: Let us be merry therefore, while we are young. After the joys of youth, after the pains of old age, the ground will have us. It's true. "

"Didn't that Tolstoy guy say something about famlies?"

GG

"Did a clown come in behind me and start doing funny pratfalls?"

GG

"Nobody watches CSPAN... it's just on in the background."

There are only 7 weeks left until classes begin again.

I need to procrastinate less. Maybe I will start tomorrow...

I'm sorry... Iwas distracted by the hair. It was supposed to just be in the background.

HAPPY ENDINGS ONLY

I would like my responsibility to be to "supply the figures and oversee plan development".

Insteresting statistic: It appears 18-to-34-year-olds would rather watch CNN without sound than MSNBC with sound. In that Monday half-hour, about twice as many viewers in that demographic were tuned to CNN as MSNBC.

"Edward's mind was so stuffed with information by now that there wasn't room for any more, and the excess had started leaking out in the night."

I feel like that sometimes.

Diary entry:
June 12th, 1856:
Raining all morning; I had beef jerkey for breakfast; there's a cloud in the sky that resembles President Pierce; this chair is squeaking; something smells good; I love smoking tobaccy; I just sneezed.

I am to old to be acting like a 13 year old girl.

It's going to be an unbearable day. Not a quote this time... this is for REAL.

The best way to start the day is with a frantic call with respect to a computer problem.

Wednesday, June 16, 2004

" I got a letter last year asking me if I would donate my brain to a medical school in Granada. I'll tell you, there are days when I think, "Yeah, why not just get it over with." WW

Quote of the day: "Excel is for computer nerds"

Tuesday, June 15, 2004

"She thought that success in business meant working hard, applying yourself, and respecting your coworkers, and she preached that to others - oh, little child. "

GG

"The hoops with the jumping and the fire and the HOOPS!!!"

"Thank you and have a historical day!"

"There is no fate, there is no destiny, there is no luck. Astrology is ridiculous. Tarot cards tell you nothing. You cannot read a palm. Tea leaves make tea and nothing else. Jim Morrison is not hanging out with Elvis, and the Kennedys did not kill Marilyn."

I like sleeping in my own library.

Monday, June 14, 2004

Quote of the day: "McCarthy... what a nutbag!"

I think that I will be stopping here after work.

Sunday, June 13, 2004

"I can not tell you what a relief it is to be at sea. It is so clear and simple. I do not mean just escaping from the bums; I mean all the complications of life on shore. I do not think that I am well suited to the land."

OK...I can HEAR the fife and drum... but where are they?

It is not every day that you see a Revolutionary War soldier get out of a Ford Taurus.

Wednesday, June 09, 2004

OK... I guess I will skip Chaucer

This is the summer of the impossible classics...

Tuesday, June 08, 2004

I learned today that Bitsy likes new empty sneaker boxes.

As far as I can tell John and Keith are dead, Paul and Bingo are still living.

A monk, a trunk and a skunk...

Monday, June 07, 2004

I am beginning to feel like myself again.
